¶ Uber for Business Vouchers API Build Guide
The Uber for Business Vouchers API enables you to integrate the Uber Vouchers product directly into your software. This product allows you to provide an Uber voucher to customers, giving them credits to take Uber rides or order Uber Eats within the parameters that you set.
¶ Overview of the Uber Vouchers Product
Uber Vouchers allow you to offer customers a way to pay for Uber rides and Uber Eats orders. Recipients can redeem these vouchers directly within the Uber app, and they continue using the app as usual.
How It Works:
- Users redeem the voucher in their Uber app.
- When they request a ride or place a food order, valid vouchers are automatically applied as the default payment method.
- If the total cost exceeds the voucher amount, the user pays the difference.
- The voucher creator is only charged for the portion of the voucher that is used before the expiry period.
This makes Uber Vouchers a flexible and cost-efficient way to provide ride and meal benefits to customers.
¶ Detailed User Experience Overview
The Vouchers product is available for non-API customers through the Uber for Business Dashboard. If you’re integrating Vouchers via the Uber for Business API, this dashboard serves as a reference for the end-to-end experience you’ll need to replicate in your own UX.
